Wie sind deine ersten Eindrücke von Emlichheim?
Anna Church: Ich fühle mich hier sehr willkommen. Die Stadt ist nicht groß, aber sie hat alles, was ich brauche. Die flache Landschaft erinnert mich ein wenig an meine Heimat Kansas. Alle hier sind sehr hilfsbereit. Ich bin dem Team und allen im Umfeld sehr dankbar, dass der Verein mir den Start so leicht gemacht hat.
Was hälst Du von deiner neuen Mannschaft?
Anna Church: Das Team ist fantastisch. Ich freue mich über das Niveau. Das Training von Michael und Erik ist sehr interessant und fordernd. Es macht viel Spaß mit meinen neuen Mitspielerinnen zusammenzuspielen und Zeit mit ihnen zu verbringen. Wir verstehen uns gut und das zeigt sich auch auf dem Feld.
Was sind deine Ziele für die neue Saison?
Anna Church: Mein größtes Ziel ist es, der Mannschaft zu helfen, so viele Spiele wie möglich zu gewinnen. Dafür werde ich alles tun. Ich liebe es zu gewinnen und erwarte es auch. Diese Einstellung möchte ich ins Team einbringen. Außerdem möchte ich während der Saison mit dem Team viel Spaß haben. Und ich finde gewinnen macht am meisten Spaß. Ich bin dankbar, hier zu sein und kann es kaum erwarten, dass die Saison los geht.

How are your impressions of Emlichheim after the first weeks?
Anna: My first impression is that everyone in Emlichheim is very welcoming. The town isn’t too big, but it has everything I could need! The flat countryside actually reminds me a little bit of Kansas (home). Everyone has been so helpful. I’m very grateful to the team and everyone associated with the club who has made it so easy for my transition.
What do you think about your new team?
Anna: The team is fantastic! Im very excited about the level. Michael and Erik make practices interesting and competitive. The girls are a lot of fun to work with and be around. We get along really well, and the chemistry transfers onto the court.
What are your goals for the comming season?
Anna: My biggest goal for the coming season is to help the team win as much as possible. I will do whatever the team needs me to do for this goal. I love to win and I expect to win, and plan to bring this determination to the team. Other than winning, the goal is to have fun with the girls! (Although I find that winning is the most fun ;). Im very grateful and happy to be here in Emlichheim and I cant wait for the season to start!
